I attended a mental wellness campaign.I sat among people that have dedicated their lives to helping others navigate the scares of life.I was in the presence of champions that have dared to break barriers.The energy in that space was giving calmness and even when it was buzzing with activities there was so much calm.I have so much passion for mental health and I spent most of my time talking about it.In the recent past I have learnt that the journey of life has dealt unfairly to most people.We are built differently and therefore most people deal differently.Some have broken over things that others have healed from so very fast.Take grieve for example,members of the same family will deal differently.One will be okay after a while and another will never really be okay.
This kind of reality is what has changed many lives.So we talk about it,we let you know it’s okay to break once in a while.It is okay to cry to scream,to deal the best way we know how. Your mental health is your own, only you can understand how you feel or how much a specific thing means to you.Even as we champion to bring awareness to people,I hope each one of us knows that healing is a personal choice.Once you know this then you can find help.Your strength is defined from you getting help.
